Hey guys! Its Squiggles (A.K.A SquigglesTheDuck).
I Have been pondering on a fourm post to kind of get to know each other better in some ways, it took me a bit (also i procrastinated on it), and I finally came up with this.
What was the First Most memorable (nostalgic) video game you remember playing as a kid?
Post below, and if able to, tell a little backstory or reasoning on why you remember it so well!
Game: Sonic 2 - Sega Genesis
Definitely not my first game I've ever played, but for sure the one with the most vivid memories. I couldn't put it into words at the time, but just the beautiful level designs, great multiplayer/singleplayer gameplay, great soundtracks, and created a tense but fun atmosphere for friends & family playing the game against one another.
Forgot to add mine too haha.
Mine was when I got my Nintendo 64 Pikachu edition with Hey You Pikachu at christmas time. That game, Banjo Tooie, and Mario Party 3 are the 3 games i got a\at that time, and all 3 are vividly remembered by me, most of all Banjo Tooie, I couldnt get past jolly rogers area back then haha. Mario Party 3 was remembered because I always loved playing that with my brother, and i did the story not knowing it had a story (i was 3, i didnt know a video game could have a story haha). Last but not most, Hey You pikachu, I hated it when I was a kid, I would call pikachu over, and Pikachu would run away, and I Could never get ANYTHING done in that game. I think i did one mission. To this day, i still cannot get pikachu to come up to me ;-;.
Thanks btw for posting guys! cant wait to see more!
The very first video game I played was probably either Knights Kingdom or Monster Trucks on GBA
My most memorable game I played was definitely Pokemon Sapphire also on GBA
The newest game I would say was most memorable for me would definitely be Undertale.
First memorable game?
For myself, it would have to be the "Logical Journey of the Zoombinis" on the computer.
God. I miss that game. Old fashioned, downloadable on a CD.
I used to love playing that game as a kid. The journeys, the many difficult stages there were, I loved all of em. The soundtrack (Little as it may be) was memorable, and a particular tune always stuck in my head for some reason. It was my favourite game for a long, long period of time. I always remembered how I used to try to break the game system by getting the Zoombinis to have the same features so various puzzles would be so much easier to achieve. Good times, good times.
Alas, nothing gold can stay. The computer in which I had Zoombinis installed on was a very old NEC computer running on Windows XP, and it broke down about 6-7 years back. I was devastated at the time, all my save progress, all my files, all my... effort was gone. I'm still looking for a library in my country which rents out that game such that I will be able to download it on a newer computer if the game even is supported on it. I hope it is, I really want to get back to playing that game. It was literally my Childhood and I don't know what I would have done without that game. Heh.
This has been mine. Don't know if this tread is still going, but hope it does.
As a small child I really loved playing 1503 AD / ANNO 1503, a city-building / strategy title, that plays in the 16th century.
It was published in 2002... I think I started playing in 2009 or something like that. The memorable thing is how simple it is to understand... yet it's complex enough to entertain children and adults. Even though it is only the second game in the series, many fans consider it the best one of all times. I still play the game, and I don't think I will ever stop.
And then there's Mario Kart for the DS. Love it.
My very first Video game I've ever played was Pokemon Yellow Edition, then I moved over to Pokemon Firered back in 2004. When Pokemon Emerald's been released I played it always with a friend. At the same time I discovered his N64 and played Ocarina of time...alot xD.
A few years later I discoverd PC-gaming, played The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and its sequel, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. I also loved the Need For Speed series, played Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted (2005), and Carbon, I loved the Open-World Gameplay of these games and I feel nostalgia everytime I play them.
In the end my gaming history is quite long and hasnt finished yet and I hope it wont end soon. ;D
I used to play ALOT of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare on the xbox 360 when I was younger
For PC i also used to play alot of the Dawn of war 1, not dawn of war 2, and dawn of war 3 is stupid.....
I also remember playing Club Penguin.
I didn't like Club Penguin. It was mostly the reason ToonTown Online got shutdown! But now Club Penguin got shutdown too, so now I just think if Disney has any actual plans or if it's just making it up as it goes along.
My most memorable game was Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. I really liked it as a kid and it was one of my first games. Pretty much the one that got me so into gaming.
