Hello, i have a suggestion for the server.
My brother actually came up with this but i also think its a good idea.

the problem now is, if you are playing with another player you can use /msg but if you are playing with a group of people you have to use the normal chat. This causes a very chaotic chat when multiple groups of players are chatting with eachother

So the idea was to have a party or group chat which you can talk in when you are playing with some other people, this causes less chaotic chats and you can easily see which messages are from your friends and which arent from them.

Tell me your opinions regarding this idea,
TjerkNL

Three things.
1. This would make chat very quiet.

2. I think that's what Teamspeak is for

3. Some players don't even know about /msg or /w or /r

To reply to you, Gamersen
1. Yes, sometimes with only around 10 people online, this would be quiet, but better have it quiet than having a chat message every few seconds which you cant all read because if youre busy reading the first one new ones pop up.
2. True, but its for the people without teamspeak. In the matter you said that you can also say ''you dont need msg , you can use teamspeak'' or ''you dont need the chat at all'' but for the people without teamspeak a party chat would be nice.
3. The players that dont know about msg and so on are mostly newer players, most of the players on the server know about msg.

Wouldn't you monitor it like you would /msg?

I have ran out of things to put here...

What i'm picturing you want is a separate chat that you only see the messages from your group in that same chat group, and not everyone else. how can staff members monitor every group chat that is going on without having to pop in and out of every one every minute.

separate chats don't show up a private messages

Sorry if i wasnt clear, i meant that you still see other messages but your group will have a coloured chat or something so you know which messages are from friends. I have seen this kind of system on a lot of servers so it would probably be possible ( i dont know plugins and stuff though).
Staff would have acces to see messages from all the groups if they want to. Like i said before, i dont know much about plugins so i dont know how you would do this.
I hope this is more clear, if not, sorry, im bad at writing complicated stuff.

Not that i'm for or against the idea but such a plugin that might facilitate said functionality is https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/multichat.26204/

It supports multiple chat streams, group chats, staff chats and ability for staff to view some or all of them at once.

Tjerk, in the future when making suggestions to add plugin functionality sometimes it helps to provide a specific plugin as that can sometimes answer some of the questions you get in response.
